One of our favourite and most popular treatments in clinic, Sculptra provides a more natural, long term solution to rejuvenation. What is Sculptra?

Sculptra is composed of Poly-L-Lactic Acid, an aesthetic biostimulator. What this means is it stimulates the cells of the body to increase their production of collagen. We lose collagen at a rate of around 1% a year from our mid-twenties, ramping up to around 30% during the menopausal years. How do I know if Sculptra is the right treatment for me?

In our experience, most patients above the age of around 30 will benefit from Sculptra treatment. If concerns over lack of skin radiance, sagginess, volume loss sound familiar then Sculptra would likely be a great treatment option for you.

How many treatments will I need?

Every patient is different, and this will be assessed at your initial appointment. As a ballpark, we usually recommend one treatment per decade over the age of 30.

30s- 1-2 Treatments

40s- 2-3 Treatments

50s- 3-4 treatments.

60s- 4-5 treatments

How long do results last?

Results last up to 2 years. We would usually recommend one maintenance treatment every year or so.

Is Sculptra Safe?

Sculptra has been used safely for over 20 years in both medical and aesthetic settings, making it one of the treatments with the longest history of use. There is clinical trial data to support its safe use.

What are the potential side effects?

On the day of injection, you may experience some mild swelling. As with an aesthetic procedure, there is also the possibility for bruising. There is also a risk of small lumps or bumps following injection. To prevent this, we recommend regular facial massage for 5 days following injection. We will show you how to do this at your appointment!
